comma openpilot is an open-source advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) designed to improve driving safety and comfort through semi-autonomous vehicle control.
Compatible with more than 325 car models, including brands like Toyota, Hyundai, and Honda, it integrates directly with a vehicle’s CAN network to assist with lane centering, adaptive cruise control, steering, braking, and acceleration.
Powered by machine learning and trained on millions of miles of driving data, openpilot is capable of handling real-world road conditions such as faded lane markings, traffic variations, and changing environments.
The system also includes driver monitoring technology to ensure the driver remains attentive and prepared to take control when necessary.
Supported by an active open-source community, openpilot continues to evolve through ongoing development and updates.
