kdpbook.io is an AI book studio for Amazon KDP that turns a one-sentence description, or your own manuscript, into a written, illustrated and laid-out book with the files KDP requires.
You describe a book idea or import a Word, PDF, Markdown or plain text file, choose from 36 book types across 8 families and 61 illustration styles (or supply your own), and the tool generates the text, illustrations and cover step by step, logging each step and the credits used. Character sheets keep characters consistent across pages.
Supported book types include picture books, illustrated storybooks, novels and chapter books, non-fiction guides, colouring books, activity and puzzle books, journals and notebooks, and comics and graphic novels. Books can be written in 34 KDP-published languages.
Outputs include an interior PDF with KDP margins, bleed and trim, a full-wrap cover PDF sized from the page count, a Kindle eBook in EPUB (reflowable or fixed layout) where the book type supports it, and a listing sheet with title, description, seven keywords, categories and AI-disclosure answers. It supports paperback and hardcover, 16 trim sizes, five ink and paper types and a 3D book preview.
The tool applies KDP trim, margin, bleed, spine and page-limit rules automatically and runs a preflight check before export, while noting that KDP still reviews every book. A live editor lets you adjust fonts, text and images before exporting.
It integrates with KDP through the kdpbook Publisher extension for Chrome and Edge, available on paid plans, which fills in a KDP draft in your own signed-in tab for you to review and publish yourself. kdpbook.io takes no royalties and charges no publishing fee.
Pricing: the Free plan gives 2,000 one-off credits with watermarked files not for sale. Starter is 25 USD per month for 2,500 credits with commercial use and no watermark, Author is 49 USD per month for 5,500 credits, and Studio is 99 USD per month for 12,000 credits. Top-up credits are available.
It is suited to self-publishers on Amazon KDP, children's book authors, colouring and activity book creators, low-content book sellers and non-fiction writers formatting their own manuscripts.
