Midjourney is an AI programme and service that is made and run by an independent study lab in San Francisco called Midjourney, Inc.
Like OpenAI's DALL-E and Stable Diffusion, Midjourney makes pictures from natural language statements called "prompts."
The tool is now in its open test phase, which began on July 12, 2022. David Holz, who also helped start Leap Motion, is in charge of the Midjourney team.
In August 2022, Holz told The Register that the company was already making money. People use Midjourney and Discord bot orders to make art.
