Phenaki is an advanced AI model designed to generate videos, potentially several minutes in length, directly from text. Users can also create videos from a still image and a prompt. The platform's video encoder-decoder model excels in terms of spatio-temporal quality and the number of tokens per video, surpassing existing per-frame baselines in the field.
To generate video tokens from text, Phenaki utilizes a bidirectional masked transformer conditioned on pre-computed text tokens. These generated video tokens are then de-tokenized to produce the final video content.
