SnapTiles is a free browser-based 3D building game that recreates magnetic tiles, with a Build with Claude feature that uses AI to assemble builds from a text description, photo or video.
Players drag tiles out of the box and they snap together edge to edge like real magnetic tiles. Gravity applies, so a roof that would not hold falls down, and a crash button knocks the whole build over so it can be rebuilt.
The AI builder takes a prompt such as a cosy house with a pointy roof or a castle with four towers and snaps the tiles together. Users can also drop in a photo or video of a tile build, or paste an Instagram link, and the AI rebuilds it in 3D.
Key features include several tile shapes in 3 and 6 inch sizes, tilting, flipping and edge locking, colour changes, copy and move tools, undo and redo, and ready-made idea builds such as a house, tower, rocket, castle, flower and lookout tower.
Builds can be saved to a My builds list and shared. The camera can orbit, pan and zoom, and touch controls work on phones and tablets.
SnapTiles was made by Kalvin Mizzi and runs entirely in the browser. Keyboard shortcuts cover most actions, such as number keys to pick a tile, Q and E to tilt it on its edge, and F to fit the whole build in view.
