Sprite Fusion is an AI pixel art generator and editor for 2D game assets. It creates sprites, icons and animations from a text prompt using an in-house model built specifically for pixel art.
You can generate assets at exact sizes such as 16x16, 32x32 and 64x64 with transparent backgrounds. It can also produce sprite sheets and animations including walk cycles, attack animations and idle loops.
Key features include style-matched generation from a reference sprite, prompt-based editing with multiple variations such as pose changes and themed skins, 8-direction sprite generation from a single image, animation of imported sprites, and normal map generation for lighting 2D sprites in game engines.
A built-in browser-based pixel art editor lets you repaint, erase and adjust colours by hand. You can import your own pixel art or asset packs, organise assets with tags, and export images and animations for any engine. A Tilemap Editor and Pixel Snapper are available as sister tools.
It works with Unity, Godot, Cocos, Phaser, GDevelop, Bevy, Love2D, Defold and Flame, with native Unity and Godot plugins. A public API and MCP support let AI agents such as Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT, Cursor and OpenCode create or edit pixel art.
Pricing: Starter costs USD 9 per month for 450 credits, Creator costs USD 19 per month for 1,050 credits, and Pro costs USD 49 per month for 3,000 credits. All plans include all features and commercial use. Normal map generation in the editor is free.
It is suited to indie game developers and prototypers who lack the time or skills for pixel art, and to studios that want consistent, engine-ready assets.
