Klap suits creators who want to turn long videos into lots of short clips and post them with no watermark, paying for the number of clips they make. Quso.ai (formerly Vidyo.ai) suits people who want clipping plus a text-based video editor, a content planner and scheduling to seven platforms in one place. Quso.ai has the real free option: a Free plan with 75 credits a month (720p, watermarked). Klap's free option is a trial on one video, and you need a paid plan to download or post.

Both tools do the same core job: you paste a link or upload a long video, and AI picks the best moments, reframes them as vertical clips and adds captions. This guide compares them using only what each company says on its own homepage and pricing page.

Klap is an AI video clipping tool from ZIGG SAS. Its homepage says it creates "TikToks, Reels, Shorts from your long videos in just one click". You drop in a file or paste a YouTube link, and Klap's AI picks the most interesting topics, cuts them into clips, reframes them and adds subtitles. Its rule of thumb is that one minute of video produces about five clips. Klap says it works on "any content where there's speech", such as podcasts, interviews, webinars, gaming and sports commentary, tutorials, product reviews and trainings.
Main features. Klap lists AI editing, auto reframing that keeps the main subject in frame, animated captions plus suggested post captions, and customisation of fonts, colours, logos and framing. Its newest feature, AI Reframe 2, picks a layout for each scene, such as split screen, screencast or gaming. The pricing page says every plan includes a virality score on each clip, active-speaker reframing, animated captions, 99+ languages, an editor with b-roll and hook titles, scheduling and publishing, unlimited social accounts and post analytics.
Publishing. You can post clips directly to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook, or schedule them.
For developers. Klap has a self-serve API, priced separately from the plans at $0.44 per input video, $0.32 per short and $0.48 per export. It also lists an MCP server and Zapier, Make and n8n integrations.
Klap's pricing page says all prices are in US dollars and were last updated on 4 November 2026. You pay for the number of clips Klap generates, not for the length of your source video, which can run up to 3 hours.
Klap calls yearly billing its "official discount", at 50% off the monthly price, and says yearly plans get the whole year's clips at once (1,200, 3,600 or 12,000). Paid clips carry no Klap branding. On a monthly plan you can ask for a refund at any time in your first month; on a yearly plan you get a full refund in the first month, then a pro-rata amount for unused months as set out in its terms. You can cancel at any time and keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for.

Quso.ai is the new name for Vidyo.ai; its pricing page tells existing Vidyo.ai customers their plan and pricing are unchanged. The homepage headline is "1 long video, 10 viral clips", and the site describes quso.ai as a tool that turns a long video, podcast episode or stream into short captioned clips you review before posting, plus an editable transcript and text posts.
Clipping and captions. The AI Clips Generator finds moments in a long video and scores them by virality. The AI Subtitle Generator adds word-level animated captions in 99 languages, with SRT export and filler-word removal. You can import from YouTube, Vimeo, X, Facebook, Twitch, Rumble, Loom, LinkedIn, Zoom, Google Drive, Dropbox or a file upload, and quso.ai says every source works on the free plan, on desktop and mobile.
Editing. Quso.ai has a text-based video editor: you edit the video like a document by deleting words, removing silences and adding B-roll. Related tools include AI Filler Word Removal, CutMagic (which detects scene changes as you edit), an AI B-roll library, Intelliclips and Custom Clip.
Social media management. This is where quso.ai goes further than Klap. It lists a social media scheduler with one calendar, an AI content planner, social media analytics, AI social captions and a Brand Kit for your fonts, colours and logo. It says you can publish to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X and Pinterest, though only TikTok publishing is listed on the Free and Lite plans.
Quso.ai says its pricing "depends on your country", and that tax may be added at checkout. The figures below are what the pricing page we saved showed; it shows dollar figures without naming the currency, so check the price for your country. One credit is about one minute of processed video, and clipping, captioning and editing all use credits.
On the page we saved, the annual prices work out to the same as twelve monthly payments, so we couldn't see an annual saving. Quso.ai says plans are month-to-month or annual and can be cancelled at any time.

We used nothing else, and we left out anything the sites didn't state. We have not included ratings or user numbers. Prices change, and Quso.ai's prices vary by country, so check both pricing pages before you buy.
Not fully. You can try Klap free on one video with no credit card and preview and edit the clips, but downloading and posting need a paid plan. Paid plans start at $29 a month billed monthly, or $174 a year billed yearly (US dollars).

Both are built for speech-heavy video such as podcasts. Klap counts clips rather than minutes and accepts source videos up to 3 hours, which suits long episodes. Quso.ai adds a text-based editor, filler-word removal and a content planner, which suits people who want to edit and plan posts in the same tool.
