N8N Chat UI is a no-code builder for branded AI chat widgets that connect to n8n workflows. It lets you design, customise and embed a chat widget into any website without writing HTML, CSS or JavaScript.
It was created because the default n8n chat interface is basic and hard to customise. The builder works in three steps: choose a widget type, customise it with a live preview, connect it to your n8n workflow, and then embed it with a copy-and-paste snippet.
Key features include in-page or popup widgets, full control over the chat bubble, tooltip, window and footer, custom icons, colours and sizes, file upload support with limits on type, size and number, voice messages, and real-time chat streaming that works automatically when streaming is enabled in n8n.
Widgets are mobile-friendly by default. Paid features include HTML in bot replies, a JavaScript sendMessage API, custom avatars, removable footer branding, one-click widget cloning, custom CSS, a consent screen and right-to-left layout support.
Managed widgets add hidden webhook URLs, centralised management, real-time analytics and security options such as domain restrictions, geofencing and rate limiting. An MCP server lets you connect Claude or another AI tool to customise a widget using natural language.
It offers plugins for Webflow, Wix and WordPress and an npm / n8n node, plus recipes for chatbots that connect to tools such as ActiveCampaign, Airtable, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Pipedrive, Cal.com, Calendly, Shopify, WooCommerce, Zendesk and Supabase.
Use cases covered on the site include appointment booking, customer support, e-commerce, event registration, knowledge base search, lead generation, multilingual support, quote calculators and recruitment screening.
Pricing: new users start with 100 free credits. A lifetime licence for standalone widgets is a one-time payment with a regular price of US$149 and includes a year of support and updates, with managed widgets using credits.
It is suited to n8n users, automation agencies, SaaS teams and businesses that want an on-brand AI chat experience on their website.
