OpenDesign is an AI-powered, open-source design agent workspace that turns prompts into on-brand prototypes, websites, app screens, dashboards, slides and graphics.
It works with the coding agents people already use. You can run it through an agent installed on your computer, such as Claude Code or Codex, connect your own model provider with an API key, or sign in to OpenDesign Cloud and use hosted models with nothing to install.
The workflow has four steps: start with your agent or the cloud, describe what you want and generate a prototype, share it and collect comments from your team, then let the agent revise the work before you ship it.
Key features include more than 150 open-source design systems, the option to create your own design system from a website, a GitHub repo or a Figma file, editing tools, a skills community with hundreds of plugins and team collaboration features.
It supports a long list of agents and models, including Claude, Codex, Gemini, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode, Devin, Kimi, Qwen, Grok, DeepSeek, Aider, Trae and Mistral Vibe.
The project is built in public under the Apache-2.0 licence on GitHub and offers a desktop app for macOS.
Pricing: the desktop app is free with a local coding agent or your own API key, and no account is needed. Paid Go plans add hosted model credits, publishing and share links, starting from 10 US dollars a month for Go and 20 US dollars a month for Go Plus, with higher Pro and Max tiers. Plans include unlimited workspace members with shared credits.
