TaleRun is an AI visual novel platform where you describe a setting, become a character and decide what happens next in your own words.
A story can begin from a single idea, such as a world, a role or an event that is about to happen. From there you act freely, writing your own actions and dialogue, and the story world responds to what you do.
Stories are illustrated as you play. TaleRun generates location artwork, character portraits and scene-by-scene dialogue, so you can see the people you meet and the places you explore.
Your choices carry forward. Experiences shape what comes next, and you can return at any time to pick up a story where you left off. Past stories can be reread for free.

Pricing: the Free plan is free forever with 100 energy per month. PRO costs $90 billed yearly (about $7.50 per month) with 1,000 energy per month, and MAX costs $290 billed yearly (about $24.17 per month) with 4,000 energy per month. A one-off 300 energy pack costs $6 and never expires.
The site is available in multiple languages and has a Discord community for players.
Getting started only needs one prompt, for example a quiet study with a psychologist or a scene in a fantasy world, and the first illustrated scene opens from there.
