TranscribeBee is an AI-powered online transcription service that turns audio and video files into text. You upload a recording, see the price before you pay, and receive a transcript with speaker labels and timestamps.
Transcription is processed with OpenAI's Whisper engine. The language is detected automatically, and most files are finished within minutes.
Key features include speaker labels, timestamps, support for any language and exports to TXT, SRT, VTT, DOCX and PDF. It accepts MP3, WAV, MP4, M4A, FLAC, OGG and other formats, with up to 10 files per upload and up to 2 GB per file.
Source audio and video files are deleted from the servers once transcription is complete, and only the text transcript is kept for you to read, copy and download. If a transcription fails on their end, the refund is automatic.
The site lists use cases such as lecture recordings for students, interviews for journalists, podcast episodes for show notes, Zoom recordings and phone calls, research interviews and focus groups, and legal and medical recordings.
Pricing: there is no subscription. It is free to sign up and you pay $2 per hour of audio or video, billed by the exact minute, with a $2 minimum per paid order. For example, a 40-minute interview costs $2 and a 90-minute lecture costs $3.
