It proficiently identified four out of five GPT-3.5 generated texts and three out of five GPT-4 texts. Particularly noteworthy is its success in identifying texts composed of paraphrased AI content or a blend of AI and human-generated content, with a 50% success rate in such scenarios.
ZeroGPT's simplicity and user-friendliness make it an attractive option for content evaluation. Users can promptly paste in text or upload a file for immediate analysis. The results provided are concise and include a text label, such as "Your Text is AI/GPT Generated," a percentage score, and text highlighting to indicate the segments of the text most likely generated by AI.
Nonetheless, it's worth noting that understanding the exact relationship between the text label and the percentage can be somewhat challenging. Sometimes, very different percentages may be accompanied by the same label, or vice versa. Additionally, the tool did encounter one instance of a false positive, misidentifying a human-written text as AI-generated.
