Loqua is an AI voice typing and dictation app for Mac and Windows that turns speech into polished text and answers questions about anything on your screen.
You invoke it with one global shortcut in any app, including Slack, Notion, Gmail, Word, Google Docs, VS Code, Terminal and Teams, and your words appear where the cursor is.
While you dictate, Loqua removes filler words, cuts repetition and refines phrasing in real time. It also hears the structure of what you say and formats it as lists, headings and hierarchy.
Translation lets you speak in your own language and get native phrasing in nearly 100 languages.
Capture to Ask lets you select part of the screen, such as a table or chart, and ask a question to get analysis, translation or a summary. Speak to Edit rewrites highlighted text by voice, and Ask Anything gives quick answers without leaving your app.
Command to Go handles voice actions such as setting reminders, opening apps, searching routes, placing calls and sending texts. A text-to-speech feature reads selected text aloud as an AI podcast.
Pricing: a free plan includes core dictation up to 5,000 words a week and 10 screen captures a week. Pro is $12 a month, or $10 a month billed annually, with unlimited dictation and capture. Maintainers of public open-source projects can apply for free access.
A custom dictionary with batch import helps it handle names and specialist terms, and context detection adapts output to the app you are writing in.
