Plysight is a free chess analysis tool that reads up to 200 of your recent online games and produces a report on your patterns and weaknesses, with an AI guide that answers questions using your own games. No account is needed to get a report.
You enter your Lichess or Chess.com username, choose the time controls to include (bullet, blitz, rapid, classical or daily), and Plysight fetches your public games through each site's public data service. It never asks for your password. You can also upload game files in PGN format instead.
Rather than grading one game at a time, Plysight looks for habits that repeat across many games. A sample report shows, for example, how often a turn begins with one of your pieces attacked and undefended, and how often your opponent took it. Comparisons with other players appear when every game analysed is blitz.
The AI guide, which is for users aged 18 and over, answers questions such as why you lose winning positions, why you are stuck at your rating, or what kind of player you are. The site notes that AI answers can be wrong and should be checked.
Other features include practice positions drawn from your games, a daily position, saved reports, analysis using the Stockfish engine, and articles based on counts from 150,000 online games covering blunders, hanging pieces, missed checkmates and playing style by rating.
Pricing: Plysight is free and supported by ads. A paid Plus plan is listed as coming soon at 7.99 US dollars a month or 64 dollars a year, adding unlimited game history, change tracking, deeper engine analysis, practice history, no daily cap on the guide and no ads.
It is suited to club and online chess players on Lichess or Chess.com who want to understand recurring mistakes and decide what to practise at their rating.
