Sendoff is a self-hosted newsletter and announcement tool that is run from an AI agent such as Claude or Codex, letting users draft, preview and send email issues to their list through conversation.
Users connect Sendoff to Claude or Codex and describe the issue they want. The agent writes and edits the content, and Sendoff renders it with React Email into a finished layout with buttons, callouts, images and dark mode handled.
When a draft is ready, the agent sends a preview link so the issue can be checked on a phone or laptop exactly as subscribers will see it. Users can request a test send, and nothing goes out until they confirm.
Before every send, a preflight check confirms the domain is verified with DKIM, a custom MAIL FROM and DMARC record are in place, the Amazon SES account has production access, bounces and complaints are wired up, and the latest test matches the draft.
Users can ask the agent for the status of any send, including how many emails went out, what bounced and who unsubscribed. Bounces and complaints are removed from the list automatically.
It runs in the user's own Cloudflare account and sends through their own Amazon SES. Setup is a single command that creates the database, queue and SES identity, writes DNS records and requests SES production access. It connects as an MCP connector in claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Codex.
Pricing: Sendoff itself is free and self-hosted with no subscription. Users pay Cloudflare and Amazon directly; the site estimates around $9 per month for 40,000 emails on Cloudflare Workers Paid and Amazon SES.
