MachineMail is an email API for AI agents that gives each agent its own real inbox to sign up with, wait on and reply from.
Agents connect through a single Streamable HTTP MCP server, either by signing in with OAuth from the client or by passing an API key in CI. The site lists Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Copilot and Cursor as supported clients, along with any other MCP client.
Inboxes can be created with one API call, or you can point a catch-all domain at MachineMail so that any address works and the inbox appears on first delivery. Addresses can be ephemeral with an expiry time or permanent, and there are no per-inbox fees.
Every inbound message gets a trust report and one of five levels (verified, known, unknown, suspicious or quarantined) before the agent sees it. Mail is converted to agent-safe text, and hidden instructions are stripped out so the agent acts on the trust level rather than on what the sender says.
Key features include signed webhooks that are retried for five days and can be replayed from the dashboard, a wait_for_message MCP tool that holds the call open for up to a minute until mail lands, custom domains, draft approval, lists and suppressions, and multi-tenant setups.
Developers also get an OpenAPI reference, agent skills and an agent plugin on GitHub, and agents can sign themselves up and be claimed later by a human.
Pricing: a Free plan covers 3,000 messages a month (up to 100 a day), 1 GB of storage and one custom domain. Paid plans are Pro at $9 a month, Team at $49 a month and Scale at $199 a month, with larger message allowances, more storage and domains, and usage-based overage. Spam and quarantined mail are never billed.
It is suited to developers building AI agents that need to receive sign-up codes, one-time passwords, invoices or support mail, and to teams running fleets of agents that need their own email addresses.
