Echoryte is an AI-powered transcription tool that converts audio and video recordings into text, with every word linked to the second it was spoken. You can check a quote, fix a name and export the result.
You upload an MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4 or MOV file, watch the text arrive with timestamps and speaker names, then copy it or download it as Word, PDF, plain text or subtitles. Large uploads resume automatically if your connection drops, and a one-hour recording takes about five minutes to convert.
Clicking any word plays that moment in the recording, and names or terms can be corrected while the audio plays. Speakers are told apart, and more than 40 languages are recognised, usually detected automatically.
Beyond transcription, the same text can be turned into SRT or WebVTT subtitles with warnings for lines that are too long or too fast, summarised into chapters and action items linked back to the source moments, or translated and read side by side with the original in sync with the audio.
The site also offers eight free browser-based tools that need no signup, covering tasks such as converting subtitles, fixing subtitle timing, extracting audio and counting words.
Privacy: recordings and transcripts are visible only to you and are not used to train models. Trial uploads are tied to your browser and delete themselves after 24 hours, and deleted items stay in the trash for 30 days.
Pricing: you can try one file of up to 30 minutes without signing up, and a verified account gets 400 one-time free credits. Pro is 15 USD a month, or 144 USD a year, for 1,500 credits a month (about 5.5 hours of audio), files up to 10 hours, 50 files at a time, a higher-accuracy mode and no processing queue. Usage is charged by the second.
