Linkly AI Clipper is a free Chrome browser extension that turns the web page you are on into cleanly formatted Markdown that AI agents can work with.
With one click it extracts the article, strips out navigation, ads and recommendation blocks, and shows the result in a side panel where you can preview, copy or download it.
Every saved file carries YAML front matter and a clear section structure, with dedicated handling for sites such as X and Weibo. Images from the article are saved into the same folder so the piece still reads properly offline.
Key features include saving article text and images, local translation using Chrome's built-in model, AI-generated outlines for pages without a proper heading structure, a reader mode with adjustable text size and dark mode, side-by-side translation, and saving of video subtitles and transcripts from YouTube, Bilibili and other video sites.
A button also appears on ChatGPT and Claude conversation pages so you can save AI conversations in one click.
Extraction, translation and outline generation all happen inside the browser, and files are only downloaded to a local folder. If the Linkly AI desktop app is running, clips can go straight into your Linkly AI library and be indexed so any AI agent can retrieve them.
It requires Chrome 116 or later and also works in Chromium-based browsers such as Edge and Brave.
Pricing: the extension is free, with no sign-in and no payment needed. The separate Linkly AI desktop app has its own paid plans.
