LYKN is an AI desktop app for Mac that puts a wide range of AI models on your desktop in one place. It can work with your files, complete computer tasks, build software, generate content and carry out research without you jumping between apps.
The app syncs with your Mac desktop folder, Finder files and wallpaper, and gives you a home screen with widgets and a central chat bar. A shortcut called Glass keeps it one keypress away.
It offers access to more than 260 open, closed and diffusion models, including models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Meta, DeepSeek, Mistral and the wider OpenRouter catalogue, under one subscription.
Key features include Chat with your context loaded, Build for turning a sentence into working software, Imagine for images, ads and art, real-time Voice conversation, Research that produces structured reports, and a Browser agent that acts on the web for you.
Agents can take on jobs such as research, inbox triage and repeating workflows, using your connected apps and delivering finished work. LYKN connects to more than 1,500 tools, including Gmail, GitHub, Notion, Slack and Google Calendar.
A unified developer API covering all models is listed as coming soon, and a Windows version has a waitlist.
Pricing: a free plan gives the full desktop on a pay-as-you-go basis with $10 of free usage on sign-up. Paid plans are Student at $15 a month, Pro at $20, Pro+ at $60 and Max at $200, each turning the subscription into monthly usage.
