OpenBot is a free desktop app that runs a team of persistent AI agents on your own computer, using the AI plans you already pay for or your own model.
Each agent has its own name, instructions and workspace. Agents send each other messages, hand off tasks, review work and share files, so the team grows around the work you give it.
It can run Codex, Claude Code, Gemini, Grok, OpenCode, Cursor, Cline, Muse Code, Pi and Mercury, and you can also add an ACP agent, an OpenAI-compatible endpoint, Ollama or LM Studio.
An agent keeps its workspace and conversation when you restart the app or move it to a different provider, and when a plan reaches its limit it can switch to a backup model.
Key features include agent channels for team conversations, a built-in browser that agents can open, read and control, and a task queue that you can pause, resume or cancel while an agent is busy.
Workspaces, conversations, files and browser data are stored on the computer that runs OpenBot rather than on the company's servers. Apps are available for macOS, Windows and Linux, with Android and an iPhone beta that connect to your computer.
Pricing: OpenBot is free with no locked features. OpenBot for Teams offers managed servers, team environments, custom integrations and implementation support on request.
It is suited to developers, solo founders and teams who want several AI coding and work agents collaborating on one machine.
